A: 로비에 도착하시면 방으로 전화주세요.

B: 그럴게요. 그런데 방 번호가 어떻게 된다고 하셨죠?

Translation)

A: Please give me a call from the lobby when you get here.

B: Okay, I’ll. What’s your room number again?

해설) 상대에게 ‘방 번호를 다시 확인을 할 때’ What’s your room number again? 이라고 하는 것을 꼭 익혀두세요.

2.

A: 바다가 보이는 방 있어요?

B:  미안하지만 모두 예약되었습니다.

Translation)

A: Do you have any rooms with a view of the ocean?

B: Sorry, sir, they are fully booked.

3.

A: 수고하십니다. 방 열쇠 주세요.

B: 여기 있습니다.

Translation)

A: Excuse me could I have my room key, please?

B: Sure, Here’ the key to your room.

해설) 투숙객인 A가 프런트 직원에게 하는 표현입니다.

A: 여보세요, 이 호텔에 세탁서비스 있나요?

B: 없습니다. 길 건네에 있는 동전 세탁방에서 하시면 됩니다.

Translation)

A: Hello, does this hotel have express laundry service?

B: No, sir. You can use coin operated Laundromat just across the road.

A: 여보세요, 양복을 클리닝하고 싶습니다.

B: 알겠습니다. 벨보이를 보내겠습니다. (양복을 주십시오)

Translation)

A: Hello, I need to have my suit cleaned.

B: Okay, sir, I’ll send someone up right away.

A: 여보세요, concierge와 통화하고 싶습니다.

B: 잠시 기다리세요. 통화 중이거든요.

Translation)

A: Hello, I’d like to speak with the concierge.

B: Hold on for a while sir. He’s on another line.

A: check out 하려고 합니다.

B: 알겠습니다. 여기 청구서 있습니다.

Translation)

A: Hi, I’d like to check out.

B: Sure, and here’s your room bill, sir.

해설) 투숙객 A와 프런트 직원인 B간의 대화입니다.

A: 한시간 전에 음식 주문했는데요. (왜 이리 늦죠?)

B: 제가 알아보겠습니다. 성함하고 방 번호는요?

Translation)

A: I ordered a meal from room service an hour ago.

B: Let me check it sir. Can I have your name and room number, please?
